commission terms

Hello, thank you for your interest in commissioning me! I've written this for you to read over before we go further; you'll need to agree to these terms if you'd like to proceed with the commission. This is just to make sure we're on the same page and so you know what to expect! If there's anything you find confusing or unclear please let me know! ♥

When you commission me, the artwork you receive is for your personal use only. I retain the copyright, and you may not use it in any commercial applications. You are not permitted to mint the artwork as an NFT.

Unless you are commissioning artwork as a gift, the artwork I made for you may not be resold or transferred to a third party. This means it cannot be included as part of a character trade or sale.

You can resize the artwork as needed, but you may not alter it significantly or remove my signature.

You can publish it on whichever sites you choose (instagram, toybox, your own site, etc.) as long as you credit me either by the name Teddy Cottell or by linking to one of my profiles.

Before I begin work, I'll give you a rough timeframe for how long I expect it'll take (normally 1-2 weeks for illustrations, under a week for pixel art). If you're happy with the estimate I'll send you an invoice for the payment we agreed on in full, or if you're comfortable with it you can send me the payment yourself (either option would be via paypal).

If I'm unable to complete your commission I'll let you know right away and issue a full refund.

Illustration commissions only: After I've received payment I'll send a rough sketch for your approval. If you'd like changes made at this point let me know, and once you've approved the sketch I'll show you again when I'm finished. If there are any small changes you want made after completion I'll be happy to make them, but I reserve the right to refuse major revisions.
If you decide to cancel the commission at any point after approving the sketch no refund will be given.

I hope that covers everything, thank you again for your interest! And if you decide to go ahead with the commission: I hope I can make something you'll really love!
